The beginning of each season is marked by a Solstice or Equinox - the point during the Earth's orbit around the sun in which it is at its least (Equinox) or greatest (Solstice) distance from the celestial equator.
At the Autumn Equinox, Earth’s two hemispheres are receiving the sun’s rays equally. The night and day are approximately equal in length thus beginning the time of year when our days are marked by more darkness than light and the beginning of Autumn.
Ancient cultures around the world have long observed the Autumn Equinox with festivals and celebrations honoring the change of seasons and shifting their postures and practices to reflect the seasonal invitation.
In Autumn we are invited to embrace the way of the Teacher as we learn to be open to outcome, not attached to it. As we walk the way of the Teacher we embrace wisdom and extend trust.
It is a time of letting go. A time of learning discernment and detachment.
Together we will explore Autumn's invitation to live well by sampling seasonal food and drinks and exploring the practical ways we can care for our body, mind and spirit.
All participants will receive our newly released Autumn seasonal guide to support you in which foods, herbs, essential oils, practices and other resources to incorporate this season.
